Referral Information

For our recruitment and referral partners

Introduction

This document is designed to provide an overview of the referral process and communications required to make each programme a success for everyone involved.

Our Recruitment Partners

We ask every ReMAKE partner to assess the commitment of each potential candidate. This ensures the very best chance of their attendance and completion of the course. The value of each place is well over £1,500 and it is therefore critical that we all work together to ensure the strongest candidates are enrolled on the course.

Course Outcomes

We aim to support our course graduates on to further training, mentoring, employment, and possible investment opportunities through partnering charities. After the course we will offer employability skills workshops and additional mentoring sessions, if required.

For employment opportunities, we are now partnering with:

  • Redemption Roasters – Hospitality
  • The Timpsons Group – Retail
  • Capgemini – Information technology Company
  • Network Rail – Transport
  • Sodexo – Catering and hospitality
  • Kier Construction – Construction and associated roles (PMs, surveyors etc)

These companies all have socially responsible roles, and some have a very wide range of opportunities and varying levels of seniority.

For investment: For those that wish to pursue their business idea, we aim to support with networking, additional training and there may be investment opportunities through partnering charities and organisations (please be aware that the nature of the business idea, commercial viability and amount of money being asked for will have a huge impact on the probability).

Supporting Documents

  • Advert – This provides a brief overview of the opportunity Project ReMAKE is offering.
  • Success Stories – We have provided examples of previous success stories that will help bring to life the benefits of the course and what can be achieved.
  • Course overview – This provides confirmation of the course dates and the weekly class topics.

Communication

  • Key contacts – In our experience this process is far easier if the number of people involved is kept to a minimum. Therefore, we prefer to have one, and maximum two, key contacts with each referral partner to manage the day-to-day recruitment process.
  • Behaviour – We will manage by exception and let you know if we experience any behaviour that causes concern.
  • Feedback – We will provide updates during, as well as on completion of the course.
  • Celebrate – Come and join us for the Dragon's Den event and help celebrate the success of all of our participants.
